You’re invited to a vernissage on Friday, May 22, from 3:00–5:00 PM at the
Centre des Loisirs de Saint Laurent. Octavious Jones has been supporting senior students at
La Résidence Steger. As a group, they make new painting, sculpture, and video work.
This exhibition is a way for these students to tell us something about themselves while navigating various physical and cognitive challenges. Join us to experience what they've created.

Octavious Jones is a multifaceted abstract artist born in Montreal, Canada. Jones first found his feet through events and exhibitions, live painting as well as exhibiting sculptures. Octavious was recognized for his Amphibious Readymade Creatures, and has since developed an array of artworks, including interactive installations, bronze sculptures, a fountain, paintings and much more. Most notably, Octavious exhibited a series of magnets frozen in ice.

Octavious recently completed his residency at Concordia University. Curated by Art Volt , Jones was invited to create his most advanced amphibious creatures for an exhibition.

"Jones agrees the Galerie B collaboration has been a great experience. “I’ve had opportunities presented to me as a result,” he says. “I’ve met a lot of people who are interested in my future work. This Galerie B project proves there are opportunities for us.”
- Montreal arts & culture journalist Richard Burnett
